Grandfather Leo takes over the farm.
In the 1950s, Leo takes over the farm in the Eifel from his father. With hard work and a deep connection to nature, he builds up a dairy operation that sustains the family for decades.
Grandfather Leo started with a handful of cows. Today the third generation still works the same farm in the Eifel — organic, family-run, unhurried.

At first still together with Agnes and Leo — two generations, one farm, the same cowshed. The handover doesn't happen in a day; it happens over years.
A decision that was bold at the time — and seems self-evident today. — Hans Willi, on going organic in 2000
Hans Willi converts the whole farm to organic farming. No pesticides, no GMOs — just healthy soil, contented animals, and the time you give things to grow properly. Ever since, we've farmed in harmony with nature.
In the newly built farmhouse, we fit out the attic for holiday guests. A few years later, two log cabins follow — quiet, warm rooms that belong to the farm.
They come for the quiet and the beauty of the Eifel — and for a farm that still sounds like a farm. The next generation runs the organic dairy with 280 cows; Bärbel looks after the guests.
We are Bärbel and Hans Willi. Four children between 35 and 43. Five grandchildren. And a life in the countryside we wouldn't trade.
A piece of the Eifel, 74 years in the same family — and open for your next holiday.

The pastures still in mist, before the cows head out.
The herd's favourite pasture — at the edge of the woods, with shade.
From our kitchen garden. More tomatoes than we can eat.
Grandchildren helping feed the chickens — most of the time.
The moment you move to the country for.
Taken between spring and autumn — right here on the farm.
We switched the farm fully to organic farming in 2000. No pesticides, no GMOs — just healthy soil, time, and the patience to let things grow the way they're meant to.
A cow that stands in the pasture — you can taste it later in the milk. — Hans Willi
280 dairy cows, plenty of room to roam, green pastures. Our animals live the way animals on a farm ought to live — unhurried, with space, and with people who know them. That's not marketing copy; it's just how we do it here.
And if you've read this far —
We keep two holiday homes ready, and a farm where the cows head out in the morning and the evening light falls across the fields. No big itinerary — that part's up to you.
